So, when I made the previous blog post and tried to update the website, it turns out Nekoweb, in all it's infinite wisdom, didn't update most of the site at all. So, apart from the blog post, I cut it down, and had to look for a new provider.
Self hosting
Self hosting would be the most optimal solution as I would own the server in this instance. All I would need to do is buy a domain since I already have a computer I could sacrifice for this, but I do not actually have a domain.
Now, if you want to self host, go check out the website LandChad.net, which is a site dedicated to self hosting guides. Anything you would want to host yourself is probably there.
Neocities
Neocities is probably THE most popular platform for things like this at this point. It's certainly the most well known one. However, I really don't like the file type restrictions that are in place without paying, and at that point I could just self host, which would be much more flexible.
The solution: Codeberg Pages?
I put a question mark there because I truly don't actually know how long this will last before breaking itself or something else happens. But for now, this is what I have to use. In the future, I really want to self host this so I can add and host other things I'd like to actually use.
